10th March – A Muggle’s Guide to Science

More than 70 wannabe sorcerers and “magic” students will study science enchantment and enrichment, under the expert tutelage of our own Science Wizards, Mr Simon Cannon, Mr Ian Holleran, Mrs Sarah Huxtable, Dr Susan Ley, Miss Stephanie Lofthouse, Mr Simon Mathers and Mr Neil Phillips on Saturday 10th March. Have you dreamed of attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? Relish Hogwarts to your heart’s content right here in Bideford when the laboratory transforms into a magnificent room of bubbling, zizzy concoctions. Sorcerers will be sorted into houses, given magical science cloaks and will earn house points during the Tournament of Science. The sorcerers will discover a world, inspired by Harry Potter,  of exciting science-based experiments, in pairs or small groups whilst DNA pendants, robotic toothbrushes and glitter slime are created. This workshop is open to all Year 5 & 6 children in North Devon. For more information on ‘A Muggle’s Guide to Science’ please email Mrs Sarah Huxtable at shuxtable@kingsleyschoolbideford.co.uk or phone 01237 426200.
