Cara-Jade Nichols in Year 11 had a wonderful experience in the Easter holiday singing at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the National Youth Choirs' WORLDSONG concert. The concert was designed by the NYCGB to illustrate their policy of outreach and collaboration by bringing together musicians and songs from the cultures of the five continents represented at the Olympic Games.
After a week's residential course Cara-Jade sang in the Soprano 2 section under the direction of Mike Brewer OBE who has achieved international recognition for his work as a choral conductor. Other conductors included Dominic Peckham, Greg Beardsall, Esther Jones and Rachel Staunton, past members of the NYCGB, all accomplished vocalists and conductors and the result of the organisations quest to nurture exceptional musical talent.
Cara-Jade has singing lessons here at Kingsley with Bonnie Bradley-Bailey.
