"Loon" illustrator comes to School

Appledore Book Festival visit
As part of the Appledore Book Festival childrens book illustrator Emily Golden came to visit Pre-School and Reception. Emily has recently illustrated a beautiful book called "The Loon on the Moon" and the children sat enthralled as she read the story to them. Emily was great, she was able to communicate with even the figdetiest of children and captured their imagination in order to unlock some pretty exciting creatures that they would like to meet! Emily talked to the children about where her ideas come from and where she finds inspiration for her stories and characters.
At the end of the session the children all drew their own character ready to write a story. The event was a huge success and the children were enchanted by this lovely young lady.
