To everyone who joined us at the Christmas Fayre on Saturday – thank you. We had a record number of stalls and the event was really busy.
The stalls were fabulous, thank you stallholders for all the effort and energy you put into getting ready for the Fayre and making the event really festive.
To Kingsley Friends, staff, students, Kingsley Lion and Prep choir who worked so hard today, thank you.
A few of our students decided to take stalls themselves at the Fayre to raise money for others. Erin, Ben and Amelia (all Year 7) raised money for their local chosen charity Everything Ellie (everythingellie.co.uk) and sold nearly 200 donuts.
Raife (Year 4) was so moved by the UNICEF blankets for children TV advert (https://www.campaignlive.co.uk/…/unicef-it-begins-b…/1416919) he decided to book a stall and has been busy making intricate paracord keyrings, zip pullers and buckles since September. Today he sold ALL of his stock and has raised £97.40 for UNICEF UK .
Freddie helped his Mum, Tania Horrocks, raise £70 towards her wing walk target. This money will be donated to Brendoncare later this week as part of an initiative called The Big Give, which means that donations are doubled thanks to money already pledged as match funding by other supporters. Freddie and his Mum have raised nearly £250 for this charity, so far. 🎄
Lily and Alfie helped their Mum, Lou Richards on their pre-loved books stall, raising money for the North Devon Hospice.
We have yet to finalise the amount of money the event raised for Kingsley Friends PTA and Families in Grief, we’ll let you know as soon as all the monies have been collected in and counted.
