As you would expect everyone at Kingsley School Bideford continues to be very busy making our school community as safe and secure as possible with enhanced cleaning regimes, hygiene protocols, temperature checks, social distancing, mask wearing, regular hand washing and sanitising, outdoor assemblies and classrooms when possible, new dining hall routines, open windows and changes to the Medical Centre.

Our safety planning is based on regular reviews of the most up-to-date guidance issued by the UK Government, the Department for Education and the NHS alongside organisations to which we are affiliated including the Boarding School Association.

However, we are only safe if everyone in our school community continues to exercise extreme caution. The school has been very strict with families or staff who have developed ANY of the COVID-19 symptoms and enforced that they self-isolate along with members of their household and book a test as soon as possible. If there is any element of doubt, pupils and staff are prevented from attending nursery, prep school or senior school and must self-isolate along with all members of their household.

It’s even more vital now that we all stick to the guidelines and we are extremely grateful to every family and each member of staff for upholding the rules and regulations which are designed to reduce the risk of coronavirus spreading and keep us all safe
