Students and tutors working together

The Sixth Form is led by The Head of Sixth Form who oversees and monitors the academic progress and pastoral care of all students, and is also responsible for the tutorial programme.

All students are assigned to a tutorial group and have a tutor with whom they meet twice a day. Students also have two 40 minute tutorial periods each week. Tutors develop close supportive relationships with their students guiding them academically and supporting them pastorally. Wherever possible students are allocated a tutor who will also teach them, or who has an understanding of their academic interest. Students retain the same tutor throughout their two years in the Sixth Form thus ensuring that tutors know students well by the time they begin to apply to university.

At Kingsley we also have a Sixth Form Manager who oversees the day to day running of the Sixth Form Centre and who is always on hand to support, help and advise students
