Kingsley School recognises and rewards children who are gifted and eager to learn through our Year7 and Year 9 scholarships. The scholarships are awarded to pupils who have particular talents in Art, Music, Sport, Drama, Academic or are all-rounders who will contribute significantly, in their own way, to life at Kingsley School.

The Entrance and Scholarship Day will be on Thursday 12th January and starts at 8.45am, when you will be warmly welcomed in the main school library, and ends at 3.45 pm. Lunch, of course, will be provided.

There will be range of fun activities and assessments that will enable us to make a full assessment of your child’s strengths and talents. We ask children to wear their own clothes (suitable for PE style activities including trainers, not school uniform) and bring with them a pencil case.

Kingsley Scholarships are granted purely on merit to gifted and talented children. A scholarship may however be supplemented by a bursary. A bursary is means-tested; it’s value is directly related to the income and financial resources of the pupil’s family.

For more information about scholarships please see our main scholarships pagehere

Scholarship application forms, further information or to apply for a bursary, please contact our Registrar Mrs Caroline Bailey who you can email at or phone on 01237 426200.

Finally, if your child has not had a taster day at Kingsley and you would like them to enjoy this experience before coming for the Entrance and Scholarship Day, please contact Mrs Bailey so this can be arranged.
