We would like to warmly welcome back our pupils, teachers and staff to Kingsley for the Spring term. In school today we have children in our Nursery, Pre-School, senior school exam pupils, and children whose parents are undertaking critical work and vulnerable children.

This is our third experience of lockdown, and the second experience when school is physically closed to the majority of pupils.

Whether pupils are physically in school or are accessing their lessons online, we will do our very best to support every pupil’s educational and pastoral needs.

Looking on the bright side, we are all getting rather good at being agile to the imposed circumstances forced onto us by the global pandemic.

We have rolled out our online school previously and we are very proud of our Kingsley teachers who are proficient in delivering excellent lessons online, in the classroom, and sometimes, a hybrid blend of classroom and online teaching.

Obviously, there are reasons for renewed optimism as the roll out of the vaccine makes us hopeful that this will be the last time we will physically close because of coronavirus. In addition, the regular use of rapid lateral-flow tests for pupils and staff in school helps to keep us all safe.

We are extremely aware of the huge array of individual challenges and concerns families are dealing with on a daily basis. We thank you sincerely for your grit and determination to positively support your children in their education during these challenging times.

There will be, no doubt, bumps in the road ahead. Please let us know if you have any worries or feel we can improve our educational services or do things differently to support your personal circumstances. Please call or email your child’s tutor or class teacher.

Thinking of every Kingsley family at this time and sending our very best wishes to you.
