Last weekend our Year 12 Geographers had a very busy weekend; travelling to South Wales on Friday morning and then completing a weekend of intensive fieldwork.

The first day was spent looking at urban regeneration, in particular looking at Cardiff Bay and the impacts of the regeneration following the completion of the Cardiff Bay barrage.

The second day was spent on the beautiful Gower peninsular beyond Swansea. We focused on the Pwlldu Bay and looked at coastal processes and resultant landforms.

Both evenings we spent back in the field centre presenting and analysing data.

A very tiring, full on weekend but with some excellent learning. The students were really hard-working and represented the school excellently with their fantastic manners and hard work. We received some complimentary feedback from the centre staff.
