Children don’t need to be sitting in a classroom or at a computer screen to learn new skills. Encouraging our pupils to get their hands dirty, out in the fresh air, will also help them develop valuable new life skills. And, what could be more enjoyable than creating their own produce beds and watching their plants grow?

This week Mr Hickson and pupils have been tending to their runner beans, pumpkins, garlic, lettuces, onions, early potatoes, tomatoes, chilli plants, courgettes, radishes and sunflowers!

To finish the week on a high note, we had some bees (scouts) investigating our wild bee homes – this is very encouraging, and we will continue to look out for the swarm!
