This half term really does seem to have flown by and there has been a real buzz throughout the whole school since the beginning of term. From the nursery and the pre-school, through the prep school and right up through the senior school into the sixth form there has been so much learning and personal development taking place. I am delighted that pupils have been able to balance out their studies with our excellent activity programme. This week our surfers timed it well and enjoyed an unseasonal sunny, warm late afternoon at Westward Ho! beach.

After half term we have planned a Sixth Form Open Evening information event for Year 10 & Year 11 pupils and their families on Friday 19th November from 4.30pm – 7pm.

This event is for current and prospective students and their families. There will be presentations from the new Head, Mr Robert Pavis, Head of Sixth Form, and Sixth Form students, followed by opportunities to meet the Sixth Form teaching staff. We will be showcasing our diverse range of A-Level, BTEC and EPQ subjects with Heads of Department, alongside sharing details of our scholarship and bursary programmes. For more information for this event please contact our Admissions Team on 01237 426200 or by email at or to book a place please visit our website…/open-days/

Another date to add to your diaries is Friday 5th November, when we will be holding our annual bonfire and fireworks party at school.  The tickets are on sale.  Thank you to the PTA team for all your hard work preparing for this fun event.

This week we shared an updated school tour online. Do take a look, there maybe parts of the school you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, and there will certainly be lots of familiar faces.

I hope that you will all enjoy an excellent half-term. We have many of our boarders staying with us at school over half-term and they have a variety of trips and visits planned to keep them entertained. I hope that those of you who have your children home with you will have a wonderful couple of weeks and we start again on Monday 1st November, when the clocks will have gone back, and we will be rapidly heading towards winter!
