This week is Children’s Mental Health Week.

Good mental health is about feeling well. Some people call mental health ’emotional health’, or ’emotional well-being,’ regardless of name, it is just as important as good physical health.

If you are in good mental health, it is easier to cope with problems which you may encounter. Good mental health also helps you play a fuller part in family and school life.

There are plenty of things you can do to help make sure you keep yourself mentally healthy. Our teachers have all been sharing their top tips for good mental health on our school YouTube channel this week:

Mental health has always been at the forefront of discussions at Kingsley, and that is a good thing.

It is not always easy to talk to family members about issues relating to mental health, but it is so important to talk. We would ask parents to reach out to us at Kingsley and ask for help if they need it. The year has been one of uncertainty for everyone and we will all continue to work hard to support everyone in our school community.
