It was lovely to receive a letter this week from Edukid to inform and thank us as a whole school community that we had raised £441.39 for their charity. This was raised from the various Christmas events, such as the collection after the Prep School Nativity play. So first of all, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed. It’s going to a very important, worthwhile and relevant charity.

We received a visit from Edukid for the Monday Prep School assembly this week, and found out a lot more about Brian, the child we sponsor as a Prep School, from Uganda. We learnt that he is 10 years old, his favourite subject is English and he wants to be a doctor when he is older. His home is called a banda and has one room for everyone to live and sleep in. Living in a country where any sort of education has to be paid for, and poverty is widespread, it is lovely to be able to make such a huge difference in someone’s life.

Let’s keep making a difference.

Best wishes
