Iceland is where brand new crust is formed where the Eurasian and North American plates are pulling apart, and we are here at the moment to get up close to some of the most spectacular landscapes, waterfalls, rock formations and beaches.

Today our Sixth Former geographers were on the south coast – surrounded by beautiful columnar basalts, black sandy beaches, huge sea cliffs and arches and private tours of geothermally heated greenhouses!

Classroom studies are well and truly coming to life!
