With the latest relaxing in Covid Government Guidance rules, our Kingsley Judo team have been able to bounce back into Judo this weekend.
Firstly, our Community Judo Club held a special training day on Saturday, welcoming members back to Judo with a fun series of Judo practice sessions and team-building activities. It was a fantastic opportunity for our School pupils and Community Club Judoka to get back together to participate fully with contact judo. It’s now been 12 months since we could take part in contact Judo and have had to either take part with online learning or non-contact Judo training.
On Sunday, Kingsley hosted the Western Area Judo Bounce Back into Judo Training day. Under the guidelines, we could only invite a limited number of people, which saw judoka travel to Kingsley from as far as Gloucestershire and Dorset. We held 3 different types of training sessions throughout the day. We once again allowed the children to enjoy being back together and taking part in a sport that has been severely affected by Covid over the past year.
One parent said, “it was just fantastic to watch her children smile again, and she was particularly happy that she no longer had to be the official practice partner for zoom lessons!”
Our Kingsley School Judo Club is also now welcoming back new and old members as we start a new term and can once again commence usual judo practice inside our brand new Dojo.
The club operates sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings.
