Children’s Mental Health Week – Express Yourself

I am sure you are all aware this week is Children’s Mental Health Week. We have been focussing on mental health this week and will continue with this important theme next week too.  With the current lockdown, the mental wellbeing of children has never been more important, and so I would encourage you all as families to reflect on your mental wellbeing and come up with ideas on how to develop your mental health.

The focus this year is on ‘Express Yourself’ and using this topic to creatively find ways of expressing thoughts, feelings and ideas. How about encouraging your family this weekend to express themselves through:

  • Art
  • Music
  • Writing and poetry
  • Dance and drama
  • Photography and film,
  • Any activity that makes you feel good

What are we enjoying during lockdown?

It has been wonderful to see all the activities the children are trying at home, inspired by things they are learning in the classroom, or ideas from the Prep School Weekly Challenges. Please enjoy the photos our Prep pupils have been sending in to us later in this newsletter and please do keep sending in your activities from home. We love seeing them!

Here are some photos from an impromptu forest school lesson this week!
