Hello everyone!
In this very first edition of my news video letter, I'm excited to share some fantastic updates and achievements from our sports departments. I'm thrilled to announce the opening of our new fitness suite, a project made possible by the generous support of the PTI. This facility is a significant addition for our sportsmen and women, as well as our outdoor education teams and groups, offering them enhanced resources for their training regimes and preparation for major competitions.
This past week has been incredibly successful for our athletes. At the North Devon Schools gymnastics tournament, our under-13 and under-15 teams clinched bronze and gold medals, respectively. Individual gymnasts, including Imogen Silver Valencia and Charlotte, also brought home medals, underscoring the depth of our talent. This achievement builds on our success at the Southwest Flowing Vault competition earlier this term, where our under-11 girls' team won gold. Impressively, this term marked the first time Kingsley was represented in national finals across five different sports. From cross-country to rugby sevens, gymnastics, judo, and football, our teams have shown remarkable skill and dedication. Our under-11 football team's participation in the national finals at St George's Park was particularly memorable, offering them invaluable experience.
Our netball and football programs have seen tremendous growth, with the senior netball team securing a decisive win over Shebbear College. As we look to the future, we're excited about further developing these academies. Additionally, our under-15 rugby sevens team's victory in the North Devon School Sevens and their progression to the county finals highlight the strength of our rugby program. These accomplishments, coupled with individual successes in volleyball, equestrian, and the World Series, exemplify the exceptional talent and hard work of our students.
